Beautiful Chakra Paintings

I attended an Awakened Belly Dance Course over seven weeks and produced a piece of artwork each week to record the experience. These are painted on A4 art board using watercolours and pen. They each took about one and a half days to create. Prints and merchandise will be available to buy from my on-line shops soon.

Seven Hand Drawn Chakra Mandalas

The beginners in my belly dancing class were asked to decorate the stage, so as well as making loads and loads of huge pom poms for our Tribal bunting, I created seven hand drawn mandalas to hang up. These were created on A3 canvas using black sharpies, and gold, silver and bronze pens. I don't think I will ever get fed up of drawing mandalas. I love most things with lots of patterns and texture. However, it was quite difficult drawing on canvas as my pens kept dragging on the deep texture. Still, they came out okay. They took about 4 hours each to complete. Cards and merchandise will be available on my online shops soon.

Three Belly Dancer Paintings

These three images are totally inspired by the lovely ladies in my belly dancing class in Lampeter. Two of the images were used in their promotion leaflets and posters for the Lampeter Food Festival and for the Lampeter Festival of Dance. Really enjoyed painting these and creating the mandalas.

New Project: The Wheel of the Year

I've started to paint a series of paintings that will be on sale as cards and merchandise once I have finished the set or maybe I will upload them as I do them, we will see.

This is a glimpse of the first image which has been painted in watercolours on artboard. Three little hares are surrounded by a beautiful mandala with lovely Summer colours.

Six New Artworks

It's been a long time since I have posted. I've been busy moving house, doing the garden and creating lots of new artwork for sale.

Here are six paintings that I've completed. I'm selling these as well as other works on my Partner's Etsy Site, my online shops and also in a lovely shop in Lampeter, Wales.

Apart from the Red Kite Archer which was painted in Acrylic Paint, the majority have been painted using watercolours. For a lovely texture, cling film is used in the wet paint and left to dry to create interesting patterns. I hope you like them. :)
